Sacred Heart Academy Swim Wins 14th Consecutive KHSAA State Championship

Sacred Heart Academy dominated the KHSAA Swim and Dive State Championships at University of Kentucky over the February 21-22, 2026 weekend, clinching their 14th consecutive title, the program's 37th title overall, and the 118th KHSAA state championship for the Valkyrie athletic program as a whole.

Senior Charlotte Crush '26, the #1 swimming recruit in the nation for the class of 2026, was named Most Outstanding Swimmer of the state meet. She ended her Sacred Heart career with two individual golds (100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke) and two golds with her Valkyrie teammates in relays. She holds Kentucky state records in the 100 Butterfly (2025), 100 Backstroke (2025), 200 yard Medley relay (2024), and at this meet, she set a 100-yard Freestyle record during the 400 Free Relay split. In August 2025, Charlotte won two gold and two silver medals at the World Junior Championships in Otopeni, Romania. She has committed to swim at the University of Tennessee.

Sacred Heart Academy’s athletic program is nationally ranked as the #1 Best All-Girls High School for Athletes in Kentucky and the #35 ranked Best High School for Athletes in America by Niche, out of 21,469 high schools. Sacred Heart Academy is also ranked the #1 Best Catholic High School and Best All-Girls High School in Kentucky.
