Sacred Heart’s soccer team, coached by Shaun Francis, defeated Highlands 3-0 on November 1, securing its second consecutive soccer state championship. With the win, it’s SHA’s ninth state championship in soccer overall, and fourth in the last eight years. SHA soccer is one of the top ranked girls soccer programs in the country, finishing the season 23-2-1. SHA senior Mia Lancaster was named the tournament’s MVP.

“We couldn’t be prouder of our field hockey and soccer teams for bringing home two state championship wins,” said Dr. Tim Adams, Principal, Sacred Heart Academy. “These athletes worked so hard all season, played with heart and integrity, and displayed the best in sportsmanship.”
Sacred Heart Academy’s athletic program is nationally ranked as the #1 Best All-Girls High School for Athletes in Kentucky and the #35 ranked Best High School for Athletes in America by Niche, out of 21,469 high schools. Sacred Heart Academy is also ranked the #1 Best Catholic High School and Best All-Girls High School in Kentucky.
