The Jean Frazier Leadership Institute at Sacred Heart Schools recognized seventy Frazier Fellows from the Sacred Heart Academy Class of 2025 on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Sacred Heart Schools President, Dr. Karen McNay, and Sacred Heart Academy Principal, Dr. Tim Adams, bestowed each student with a medal that she will wear on graduation day while JFLI Director, Lauren Hitron '99, announced each student's authentic leadership project and the college she will attend in the fall. Students will also graduate with a certificate of distinction in leadership on their high school transcript.

Frazier Fellows is the culmination of the Jean Frazier Leadership Institute, and this is SHA's largest class of Fellows in JFLI's history. These Fellows have participated in every opportunity that the Institute has to offer through the Lucy Lee Helm Leadership Pillar. They have studied leadership, learned professional skills, networked with alumnae and community partners, created service initiatives and small businesses, and interned across Louisville and the United States contributing thousands of hours of authentic leadership. Indeed, they have demonstrated what it means to Lead With Heart.

The Frazier Fellows program encompasses three years of students’ comprehensive study and practice in servant leadership. Frazier Fellows participate in authentic leadership workshops and networking events, a personal finance course, a quarterly online leadership course, and a minimum 40-hour internship or authentic leadership experience designed by the student. Fellows share their leadership growth and experiences when they present a final capstone project to a panel of faculty and community members.

The Jean Frazier Leadership Institute is the first and only high school leadership program of its kind in Kentucky. It promotes a leadership culture at Sacred Heart Schools by providing authentic learning experiences that create empowered leaders who seek to serve others. All students at Sacred Heart Academy participate in leadership programming through the Institute each year. They grow as servant leaders exhibiting perseverance, resilience, authenticity, empathy, and determination while building a community of young women supporting other women.

Congratulations to this fantastic group of young leaders! #JFLI #LeadWithHeart
