The Sacred Heart Academy Golf team won their 13th state title, and second KHSAA State Championship in a row, on October 12 in Bowling Green. Madison Central placed second, 12 shots behind SHA. Senior Emma Lindemoen finished 3rd, sophomore Keira Yun finished 7th, sophomore Greer Wathen finished 15th, and junior Brooklynn Bohnert was 28th. The Valkyries swept the postseason, winning Region, Semi-state and State. During the regular season the team won thirteen tournaments, never losing with the state lineup. The team average of 305 is one of the lowest in school history.
Congratulations to seniors on the team: Annie Williams, Ella Pankonin, Charly Garner, and Emma Lindemoen. Keira Yun and Emma Lindemoen were named 1st team All State and Brooklynn Bohnert and Greer Wathen were named 2nd team All State.
This title is Coach Mackenzie Moir's second championship. She also coached the winning team in 2023.
