Juniors, seniors and Level 8 students at Sacred Heart Model School also heard a keynote address by Crystal Kelly Sigwalt '04, 2004 Kentucky Miss Basketball who propelled her Valkyries to the first 3-peat State Championship in SHA history. Crystal, who also serves as a member of Sacred Heart Schools Board of Trustees, spoke to students about pivoting--not just on the basketball court, but in life. Her career journey has led her from SHA to Western Kentucky University, where she broke the WKU record in career rebounds and earned a place in the top 25 career scorers in the NCAA DI, to the WNBA, to coaching at Bellarmine, Towson University and UK, to marriage and motherhood, to her current career as a medical sales rep.
Her message to Sacred Heart students: "Be willing to leap. Be willing to pivot. And let faith carry you the rest of the way." Thank you to JFLI and Crystal for helping our students understand that life and leadership rarely follow a linear path!

Our SHA students want to say "thank you" to the nearly 100 alumnae and friends of Sacred Heart Academy who devoted part of their day to teaching, guiding, and mentoring the next generation of Valkyries!
