We are proud to announce that Sacred Heart Academy seniors Kathryn Fuller and Kate Huseman have been recognized by the National Merit Corporation for their academic excellence. Kathryn is the only student from all-girls Catholic high school in Louisville who has been recognized this year as a National Merit Semifinalist.
Kathryn Fuller has been named a 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Out of more than 1.3 million juniors who took the PSAT as a junior in 2024, Kathryn's score qualified her as a National Merit Semifinalist, representing less than 1% of the nation's high school seniors. Classmate Kate Huseman has been named a National Merit Commended Student, placing her among the top 3% of high school seniors in the nation. We are so proud of their significant academic achievements!
Since 1957, 254 Valkyries have been named National Merit Finalists. We look forward to watching Kathryn and Kate's continued success at Sacred Heart and beyond!
