We’re thrilled to share that Sacred Heart Academy has won the Alumnae Unite challenge with an amazing 13.32% of our Forever Valkyries giving back to the annual fund, raising more than $155,000 to support the students at SHA.

The Valkyries led the way in both dollars raised AND alumnae participation in this annual challenge to support Catholic girls education in the Archdiocese of Louisville.

SHA alumnae director Megan Brumleve Theisen '95 remarked, "Every single gift is a statement of gratitude for those who influenced and nurtured us as students, for the lifelong friendships made, and for those who made our Ursuline educations possible."

The Alumnae Unite challenge is an annual campaign that encourages alumnae to give back to their alma maters, raising funds and awareness for the gift of Catholic education. The original campaign was known as RivalsUnite4Girls and four all-girls Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville participated: Presentation Academy, Sacred Heart Academy, Mercy Academy, and Assumption High School. In 2020, Holy Cross and Bethlehem high schools joined in and the challenge was renamed Alumnae Unite. Each year the campaign makes a significant impact on the annual funds of each school, helping to bridge the gap beween tuition and the cost of education.
