Jada McIntyre ‘25: Running into the Future
Jada McIntyre ’25 is already a record holder in her career at SHA, and she has even loftier aspirations for the future. With math as her core favorite subject, Jada is calculating success after success every day. She is a key member of SHA’s track and field team and proudly holds the school record for both long and triple jump. “The previous long jump record stood for 13 years, and the previous triple jump record stood for 10 years. I shattered both records my sophomore year of high school and have continued to break my own records,” Jada says proudly.
“I chose to come to SHA because when I shadowed, I had the best time,” she says. “Seeing the community the students had with each other and seeing how kind the teachers were, was something I couldn’t wait to experience.”
Jada is also an active participant in the Black Student Union with Heart at SHA. “I am beyond grateful for BSU,” Jada says. “It’s more than just a group - it’s a true sisterhood filled with unwavering support and friendship. Deciding to join was one of the best choices I’ve ever made, as I’ve gained lifelong sisters who will always be a part of my journey.”

“Leadership is important for SHA students,” she explains. “It gives you the opportunity to be successful for the future.” Mixing in the Ursuline Core Values is important to Jada also. She adds, “I live the Ursuline Core Values by being a leader and spreading love. Those two things will take me far in life.”
Jada aspires to be a member of the US Olympic team for track and field. “My passion is definitely track,” she explains. “I'm very competitive and love challenging myself. I typically work out in my free time with my friends. I hope to participate in jumping events as an Olympic athlete.” Jada competed in the Junior Olympics last summer, a memory she will always treasure. Her dream is to compete on the world’s stage by the time she reaches her early twenties.
In the meantime, the family she’s found at SHA means the world to Jada. “I love SHA because of the love that comes with it. This school supports me throughout any decisions I make. SHA takes pride in helping students succeed to the next level. You'll make the best of friends here and SHA has so many opportunities for you to help connect.”
