The Valkyrie golf team led by Coach Mackenzie Moir won the program's record 12th state golf title on October 4, 2023 in Bowling Green. This is the first athletic state title for the 2023-24 Sacred Heart Academy school year, and the first golf title since 2017. It is Coach Mackenzie Moir's first state championship as well.
Freshman Keria Yun placed 2nd, junior Emma Lindemoen was 7th, sophomore Brooklynn Bohnert placed 16th, junior Charly Garner tied for 29th and senior Grace Vernon was 37th after two days of play. Marshall County placed second, 24 shots behind the Valkyries.
Sacred Heart celebrated this state championship--the school's 108th title--with an all-school pep rally on October 10.
