Six Valkyries Named National Merit Finalists

It's official! Six seniors have been named National Merit Finalists! We are so proud of Julia Ceresa, Lauren Ceresa, Shelby Davis, Lucy Dixon, Grace Guernsey, and Arianna Martinelli! The nationwide pool of finalists represents less than one percent of high school seniors in the U.S., and Sacred Heart Academy leads all-girls schools in Louisville with six honorees. Congratulations to these stellar students.

Each year, the National Merit Program honors students across the nation whose scores are the highest in Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), taken in the fall of their junior year at SHA. To be considered for a National Merit scholarship, students must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.

Since 1957, 250 Sacred Heart Academy scholars have been named National Merit Finalists, more than any other all-girls school in Louisville. We look forward to updating the sign that proudly hangs in the hallway. Congratulations, Valkyries!
