SHA Wins Basketball State Championship, Sets Record for Most Wins in KY History(6)

The Valkyrie basketball team defeated Bullitt East 64-46 to win the KHSAA State Championship for the second straight year.

With the decisive victory at Rupp Arena, Sacred Heart becomes the only team in KHSAA history to win six girls' state championships: 1976, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2021, 2022. Coach Donna Moir has been a part of all six titles, as a player and as a coach.

Joe Billy Mansfield Award: Olivia Lovan This award, sponsored by the Courier-Journal, is presented to a Sweet Sixteen tournament player who exhibits citizenship, academic achievement, sportsmanship and basketball ability.

This is SHA’s fourth state athletic championship this school year. The Field Hockey, Dance, and Swim & Dive programs also won state championships.
