Sister Janet M. Peterworth, president of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, stated that, “During her tenure, Dr. Crabtree has worked tirelessly to advance Sacred Heart Schools to a new level of education which touches the whole person. We wanted to recognize her legacy with this gift. As the founders of Sacred Heart schools, the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville are proud of what our schools stand for in this community.”
The financial gift will assist in funding the restoration of the east wing of the Ursuline Motherhouse, continuing the transformation of the Motherhouse into the leadership hub of Sacred Heart Schools and the Ursuline Sisters. Part of the Sisters’ gift will also name the financial literacy program within the Jean Frazier Leadership Institute to honor Dr. Crabtree’s commitment to the creation of the Institute at Sacred Heart Schools.
When reflecting on this generosity, Dr. Crabtree states, “It has been my great privilege to work with the Ursuline Sisters in pursuit of excellence in Catholic education for so many years. I am both humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude that they should choose to honor this partnership with a gift in my name.”
