Sacred Heart School for the Arts Celebrates 50 years of Arts Education

Sacred Heart School for the Arts has been providing arts education in our community for fifty years. On Sunday, November 17, 2019 SHSA welcomes the community to share in our love for all art forms as we honor the legacy of the Ursuline Sisters, Dr. Cynthia Crabtree, and our current students, staff and alumni.

The celebration will begin with Mass in the Motherhouse Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with a professional Cantor and glorious harp.

Mass will be followed by a catered brunch at 12:00 p.m. in the atrium of the Ursuline Arts Center with troubadours and atmosphere performers, as well as a picture booth exploring the SHSA costume closet.

Finally, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. guests will enjoy a Gala on the main stage of the Ursuline Arts Center. This will recount the history of SHSA, featuring faculty, past and present students and family testimonials, the SHA Alumni Choir, community theater representatives and a finale presentation of our fall musical, Oklahoma!

Tickets for the Brunch and Gala are $5.00 and can be purchased at www.showtix4u.com or in the SHSA office.

Founded by the Ursuline Sisters, SHSA nurtures creativity and encourages self-expression through opportunities in dance, drama, music and visual art. Exploration of the arts, especially at a young age, ensures a well-rounded education and an appreciation that will last a lifetime.
