Eighteen Sacred Heart Academy students Accepted to 2019 Governor’s Scholars Program, Governor’s School for the Arts & Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs

Mary Lee McCoy, principal of Sacred Heart Academy, has announced that the following eleven rising seniors have been accepted into the 2019 Governor's Scholars Program: April Dong, Claire Elder, Gracie Geddie, Elise Gould, Maria Julian, Maggie March, Megan Osting, Nell Rydzewski, Sophie Rydzewski, Madeline Stokes, and Caroline Sumner. The mission of the summer residential program for outstanding rising seniors is to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders.

 

              Ms. McCoy announced that the following students have been accepted into the 2019 Governor's School for the Arts: Olivia Bates (Architecture + Design), Anna Hamilton (Film + Photography), Isabella Huecker (Musical Theater), Mimi Peters (Vocal Music) and Anneliese Wickson (Dance). GSA provides three weeks of hands-on-arts opportunities for talented rising junior and senior high school students.

 

Finally, Ms. McCoy announced Isabel Wolters’ and Grace Heistand’s acceptance into the 2019 Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs. GSE is a unique entrepreneurship program which places a strong emphasis on innovation and design as elements of creating a sustainable business model.
