Fifteen Student-Athletes from Sacred Heart Academy Named to National Academic Squad

The National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school juniors and seniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2018-19 school year. Over 2,415 student-athletes from 297 high schools made the squad.

Juniors and seniors who achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2018-19 school year have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction. Eight of Sacred Heart’s 15 players on the academic squad are Scholars of Distinction and are marked with an asterisk.

The Sacred Heart Academy Valkyries earned their tenth State Field Hockey title in 2018 and finished as the #1 team in the West/Mid-West region and the #8 team in the nation. Varsity Coach Eleanor Mitchell was named Kentucky State Coach of the Year by MAX Field Hockey.
