Under Mitchell this year, the Valkyries earned their tenth State Field Hockey title, capping off a near-perfect 25-1 season, losing only to the #1 team in the nation, Eastern Regional (NJ). Mitchell’s squad finished as the #1 team in the West/Mid-West region and the #8 team in the nation.
Mitchell has coached at Sacred Heart for four years and has a career record of 87-23-1 and two state championships. She was a field hockey player during her time at Sacred Heart and at the collegiate level at Davidson College.
