We know that the transition to a new school can seem overwhelming. That is why we offer many events for freshmen early in the school year and even in the summer to begin to make new friends and learn about Sacred Heart Academy.

Frosh Start

You’ll find your way quickly at SHA! Frosh Start is a day of fun, spent with your incoming classmates before school starts. Led by Junior and Senior Navigation Team members, Frosh Start will show you the ‘ins and outs’ of SHA – from class schedules, Valkyrie cheers, uniforms and FLIK, you’ll learn everything you need to know to join the SHA family!

 

 

Freshman Orientation

The first day of school for incoming freshmen is Freshman Orientation. Before any other students return to school you, and your new freshmen classmates, will find your way through the halls of Dear Sacred Heart to all your classrooms and become familiar with your schedule, teachers and iPad.

 

 

Freshman Rose Ceremony

The Freshman Rose Ceremony is a significant tradition and highlights the beginning or your four-year journey of Valkyrie Sisterhood. Each student receives a single red rose as a freshman and a dozen roses at Senior Graduation.

 

 

Field Day

Field Day is an action-packed day of friendly competition and crazy fun. Each TEAM room chooses a theme and costumes for the day to compete in games against the other freshman rooms. This day is a Valkyrie favorite!

 

 

Freshman Dance

Get your dance moves on at the Freshman Dance! This semi-formal event allows freshman girls to invite a date or grab a group of friends to dance the night away in the Sacred Heart gym.

 

 

Frosh Blast

Throw on your PJs and get ready for a night of laughter and fun at Frosh Blast, a pajama party for the entire Freshman class. Dance to the DJ, smile in the photo booth or hang by the snacks – this will be one night of bonding with your Valkyrie sisters that you’ll never forget!

 

 

Freshman Retreat

You’ll love how Freshman Retreat gives you the opportunity to get to know yourself and your classmates better. Relax, reflect and strengthen your relationship with God and others, while exploring the Ursuline Campus.
